◆ Brief introduction of test vehicle type

◆ Daily driving experience
The maximum 2.5T turbocharged diesel fuel carried by the vehicle is 136 HP/3,800 rpm, and the maximum is 340 Nm/2,000 rpm. Relatively small power and relatively large torque are the characteristics of diesel engines. The curb weight of the vehicle is 2.0 tons, and the rated load weight is 480kg(0.48 tons). The daily test drive is carried out under the condition of single person’s no load.
The travel of the Lord’s gear lever is moderate, but it is stuck in the middle of the trip. When we need to quickly enter the gear during the acceleration test, the gear lever will be suspended several times because it can’t be stuck in the corresponding gear at one time. Although it is also stuck during normal driving, it is no problem to hang in the corresponding gear at one time. The clutch pedal has a slightly longer stroke, a wider joint and is easy to find. It is not easy to turn off even if no oil is given at the start, so it is easier to get started.
It is enough to keep the engine speed at 2000rpm in daily driving, which is the maximum torque output speed of the vehicle. When driving at medium and low speeds, the power reserve is abundant. If you want to overtake and accelerate quickly, you just need to step on the accelerator directly. In the process of rapid acceleration, the sense of speed increase begins to decay rapidly after the engine speed exceeds 3500rpm, so it is necessary to shift gears to maintain the acceleration of the vehicle.
As a diesel truck, most of the noise of the Lord comes from the engine. Even at high speed, the noise of the engine is more obvious than the wind noise and tire noise. However, compared with other tool pickup trucks, vehicles have relatively good performance in noise and vibration suppression. In daily driving, the engine speed is around 2000rpm, and the noise is tolerable; When you step on the accelerator deeply or the engine speed exceeds 3000rpm, the roar is obvious.
Lords are non-load-bearing, adopting front and rear (type, elastic elements are 5 steel plates) structures, which are more common in the same model. The damping adjustment of the front suspension has a certain comfort, and the damping setting of the rear suspension is divided into two stages, the front part is hard-in order to provide sufficient support when the vehicle faces complex road conditions; The rear section is soft-in order to give consideration to comfort under load, the rear suspension is at this stage when the vehicle load is 400kg.
In the test drive, the front suspension can filter the vibration of trivial ground and the impact caused by large obstacles, so that the front drivers and passengers feel more comfortable; Because the front section of the rear suspension is hard to adjust, the vibration of trivial road surface will be clearly transmitted to the rear passengers in no-load state. When passing through large obstacles, the rear suspension can play a sufficient buffering role, and the impact feeling is not strong, but there will still be a large sense of jumping transmitted to the car. When the load is 400kg, the driving feeling of the front row does not change obviously, and the rear suspension is overwhelmed by the soft stage. The vehicle can filter the vibration of trivial roads and the impact caused by large obstacles, and the rear passengers feel more comfortable.
Now that we’re talking about driving experience, let’s talk about seats by the way. The sponge filling degree of the seat is relatively full, and the seat cushion and backrest are not soft, which can form sufficient support for the drivers and passengers in the face of complex road conditions, but it will cause more fatigue when driving for a long time. The headrest is soft, and my head feels comfortable when I take a nap in the car.
◆ Other project experiences
Driving a big guy like Lord should be more careful when parking. In addition to the lowest models, all vehicles are equipped with panoramic parking system and front and rear parking radar, which is very practical when parking or moving cars.
I also had some problems in parking. The central control panel will automatically switch to a panoramic image after the vehicle is put into reverse gear. When the gear lever is put out of reverse gear, the central control panel will remain in the parking radar state, and no operation can be carried out. If there is an obstacle, the radar will keep giving an alarm (the radar switch only works on the front radar), and it will not be released unless the engine is turned off or the speed of forward driving exceeds 15 km/h. When I was waiting for someone in the side parking, there was a radar alarm in the car all the time because of obstacles behind the car. I had to turn off the engine once to release it. It was inconvenient to use, and I hope the manufacturer can improve it.
