A few days ago, Honda Technology Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall and the Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall.

Recall the following vehicles:

I. Honda Technology Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

Recall some imported Acura RDX series cars whose fuel pumps were replaced during after-sales maintenance from March 1, 2018 to October 31, 2023, totaling 46 vehicles.

Second, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.

Recall some domestic Acura TLX-L, Acura CDX, Fengfan, Odyssey, Accord, Guandao, Binzhi, Fit and Lingpai series cars produced from July 22, 2017 to June 30, 2018, totaling 261,411 vehicles; From March 1, 2018 to October 31, 2023, some domestic Acura TLX-L, Acura CDX, Acura RDX, Fengfan, Odyssey, Accord, Crown Road, Haoying, Binzhi, Fit, Lingpai, Geshitu and Concept S1 series cars were replaced during after-sales maintenance, totaling 7,026 vehicles; From March 1, 2018 to October 31, 2023, some imported Acura RDX, Acura MDX, Acura TLX series cars were replaced during after-sales maintenance, totaling 30 vehicles.

3. Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.

Recall some domestically produced GREIZ, GIENIA, JADE, CIVIC, SPIRIOR, XR-V, Siwei (CR-V) and Youwei (UR) from August 9, 2017 to June 30, 2018. During the period XR-V September 1, 2017 to October 30, 2023, some domestic Siming (CIIMO), ENVIX, GREIZ, GIENIA, JADE, CIVIC, SPIRIOR, and INSPIRE that replaced the fuel pump.

For some vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the insufficient resin density of the fuel pump impeller, the impeller may swell and deform due to the influence of fuel oil, and interfere with the fuel pump housing, resulting in poor fuel pump work and failure to supply oil to the engine normally. In extreme cases, it may lead to engine flameout while driving, which may pose a safety hazard.

Honda Technology Research Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the improved fuel pump for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.

This recall belongs to the expanded recall of Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. recalling some domestic cars released on May 29, 2020, and Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. expanding the recall of some domestic cars released on December 25, 2020.

A total of 75,691 domestically produced hybrid Acura CDX, Odyssey and Accord cars produced between August 27th, 2018 and August 6th, 2020 were recalled.

Second, Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd.

A total of 76,405 domestically produced hybrid versions of INSPIRE, CR-V and ELYSION cars were recalled from October 8, 2018 to September 7, 2020.

Due to manufacturing reasons, a small amount of lubricating oil may be attached to the internal pressure sensor of the brake pedal simulator for vehicles within the scope of this recall, and the attached lubricating oil will cause sensor signal deviation after long-term use. When the signal offset reaches the alarm threshold, the fault light of the braking system will light up, and the vehicle will start the braking backup mode at this time, which will increase the pedal force required for braking and pose a safety hazard.

Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the brake pedal simulator for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.

This recall activity changed the recall measures of Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. recalling some domestic hybrid vehicles released on December 29, 2022.
