According to reports, after the commemoration began, the Lithuanian President, Prime Minister and Speaker spoke successively. During the period, protesters held posters such as "the government stepped down" and "opposing compulsory vaccination" and shouted "shame". Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrid Shimoni’s speech was almost drowned out by whistles and boos.
A Vilnius police spokesman said that on the day of the event, about 2,500 people gathered in the square next to the parliament building, but not all of them were protesters. After the commemoration, about 750 people stayed.
