As an advance team, the Korean artists’ performance delegation first arrived in South Korea. From the 21st to the 22nd, DPRK personnel visited the art centers and stadiums in Gangneung and Seoul, South Korea, respectively, and their inspection will be the basis for choosing the performance place of the art troupe. Among the delegation, the most concerned is their head, Xuan Songyue.

On the same day, the 7-member delegation visited Seoul Silkworm City Student Gymnasium, National Theater and Award-winning Gymnasium to learn more about the environment, equipment and the size of the audience.

On the 21st, after the delegation arrived in South Korea, it first inspected the performance place there, and stopped at Gangneung Art Center for about two and a half hours to carefully check the facilities and equipment such as audio equipment, dressing room and dressing room.

According to South Korean media reports, Xuan Songyue was born in 1972 and graduated from Pyongyang Jinyuanjun Music University, known as the cradle of "artists". In the 1990s, Xuan Songyue, as a national meritorious actor, was active in the Korean music scene.

Sanchiyuan Orchestra was established in January, 2009. It mainly plays light classical music. Players will not only wear national costumes or military uniforms, but also wear western-style dresses, which is more in line with the aesthetics of the public.

In 2014, Xuan Songyue was the head of the Peony Peak Orchestra, which was the first women’s electronic orchestra initiated by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in 2012. The performance was novel and flexible, and the members were beautifully dressed and fashionable. It was known as the "women’s day group" in North Korea.

In 2014, Xuan Songyue was already a senior colonel. In the same year, she also made a speech as a representative at the Ninth Congress of Literary and Art Workers in North Korea.

At present, North Korea has not announced whether Xuan Songyue is still the head of the Peony Peak Orchestra.

In addition to enjoying a high reputation in the art world, Xuan Songyue also has a certain position in politics. In October 2017, she became an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Labor Party, which is very rare among female artists.
