Lenovo launched the world’s first folding screen computer, which will be available in 2020.
On May 13th, local time in the United States, Lenovo Group demonstrated the ThinkPad X1 series, the prototype of the world’s first foldable screen computer, at the Accelerate conference. This folding screen computer adopts OLED 2K foldable display screen produced in cooperation with LG Display, with a screen ratio of 4: 3, which is 13.3 inches after opening, and the width can be reduced by half by folding in half.

This product is equipped with Intel processor and Windows operating system, and comes with virtual keyboard and office 365. The weight of the whole machine is about 900g. In terms of endurance, the battery of this product can support one day’s use.
It is understood that this product has been developed for more than three years and will be introduced to the market in 2020.

Lenovo describes its usage scenario as:
After getting up in the morning, fold it into a book and browse the social media dynamics in bed to start a new day.
Go into the kitchen, spread it out and erect it, and easily browse the major news websites.
On the bus or subway, turn it into a flip form to check email.
Go into the office, connect it to the multi-display setup, and then start working.
When attending a meeting, expand the folding screen to full screen, and record the meeting contents on the screen with the stylus provided by it.
After lunch, fix it through the bracket and use its peripheral mechanical keyboard to handle e-mail.
Go home at night and watch your favorite programs with it.
When relaxing in bed, fold it in half and enjoy reading before going to sleep.
